Snow White and the Seven Dwarves

Hosted by RockYouPhotos.com
My very first storybook and owned Walt Disney fairytale which still leaves my head spinning and my feet floating in the air whenever I think of Princess Snow White and Prince Charming having that true love's kiss and then our beautiful princess was swept off her feet onto his horse to live happily ever after.

Awww....aren't fairy tales amazing and the reason to live?
Don't we always dream of the perfect ending; Prince Charming and the happily ever after when we were little girls? (still am thinking about it anyway:)

Coincidentally, I came across articles which talked about Walt Disney who was the religious boy brought up in a Catholic family. There is no wonder then all his characters are created based on a selfless and forgiving nature who will not breed any negativity nor ill feelings against anyone.
Snow White was one such character; she was born a princess and was supposed to live with a golden spoon in her mouth.

However, her father, the King married a woman who became her stepmother, and the new Queen.

The Queen was a vain woman; constantly on the drive and quest to be the most beautiful woman.

In fact, she was so vain that she even had this magic mirror which she hangs on the wall and what she does is walk in front of it everyday and ask this memorable quote,
"Mirror Mirror on the wall, tell me who is the fairest one of all"

The mirror will then always give a standard reply, "You, My Queen, is the fairest one of all"
And that will always leave the Queen contented.

However, one day, things took a turn when the Mirror replied rather embarassingly,
"You, My Queen is fair but there is one who is fairer than thee. Lips red as rose, hair black as ebony, skin white as snow"
To that the Queen turned into a rage as she whispered, "SNOW WHITE!"

She ordered for her huntsman to kill Snow White and to ensure that he completes his mission, she gave him a little box to bring her heart back as a proof.

The huntsman obliged; with much reluctance and he brought the princess to the woods where she enjoyed being with the nature and all.

However, the huntsman was about to raise his knife to stab the poor princess when he could not bring himself to do it and instead told the beautiful and innocent Snow White to flee into the woods.

Afraid, our poor princess was so terrified that she ran and ran, far into the woods where she ended up lost and even more horrified by what lurks in the dark.

Depressed, she threw her head back and started crying. She cried so much that she fell asleep.
When she woke up, she decided to wander further and she stumbled upon a little hut which she found really adorable.

She found 7 little chairs, and beds. She started thinking it was a children house and found herself asleep in no time.

Now the house belonged to no children but to seven little men; or dwarves who worked at a mine and they heigh-hoed their way home after work each day.

Unbeknown to them, there is a beautiful and fair young lady currently taking her place in their beds.
When they found the door ajar, they were shocked and suspected someone broke into the house and lo behold, they found Snow White in their beds.

Snow White was as shocked as they were when their eyes met with each other upon waking up.

However, it took them no time to warm up to her presence - who doesn't anyway, Snow White with a smiling face and kind heart.

Of course, Grumpy was the only one who seemed to be taking it rather seriously at the presence of stranger in the house.

Snow White was a tremendous help around the house and at the same time, she was such a sweet person that everyone loved her almost immediately.

Nevertheless, her evil Queen stepmother stopped at nothing after finding that her arch nemesis in the form of Snow White is still alive and that she is still at second behind Snow White.

She went in disguise as an old witch to bring Snow White a big and rosy red apple which was too perfect to reject.

And Snow White, being the kind and sweet person could not find a reason to reject the old woman who was actually the evil Queen in disguise.

One bite of that apple and she laid to rest forever.

The Queen was, needless to say, too happy but she met her fate when she was struck by lightning.

Snow White never woke up and the dwarves were devastated when they found her motionless upon their return from work.
The sweet little men put her in a glass coffin and paid their last respects.

It so happens that Prince Charming was on his way and came across this coffin.
Upset that such a beautiful girl has passed on her life, he knelt on his feet and kissed this beauty on her lips.

With this kiss, Snow White opened her eyes.

The evil spell cast on the apple by the Queen was lifted by the True Love's Kiss.

Everyone rejoiced and Snow White went off with her prince, to live happily ever after.

Ain't that a great fairy tale which every girl would look forward to?
A prince charming with a great white horse, sweeps you off into his arms and brings you back to his magnificent castle to live together in eternal happiness.
I have never forgotten this story; which was the first Disney fairy tale animated cartoon I've watched and also the first I've owned in the form of a tape.
Now, the tape is running out but I still have the soft copy version of this movie in my CD...perhaps I should consider DVD.

Do I like this movie?
Why, that's like an astounding YES...and forget about this story being corny because it's not and it's perfect!
To Snow White!!~
